My Sexual meme

This is my response to another of Strawberry Singh's blog challenges - The Sexual Meme. In her own blog on this, she calls herself a pervert - something about that drew me in and made me want to do this as well - like minds, I suppose!

Sass and I had one of our major long into the night communication sessions last night. It was both enlightening and productive. One thing I will share from it is this -being completely open and honest is MUCH better - and leaves much less chance for miscommunication or misunderstanding - than the alternative. I was honest and open with Sass about my mostly ego-driven control issues, and that seemed to help the situation, or at least help clarify.

So, in that vein, I decided to be open on my blog - yes, moreso than usual. Hence, this sexual meme!

The pictures included are NOT new, but they haven't appeared in my blog yet. They ARE, however, on my FLICKR. These are pics I took as surprise for Sass. The last one has been cropped because the photos in it were actually hers - RL pics - and therefore not shareable on this blog. Deal.

Sexual Questions: (for RL and/or SL)

What is your sexual orientation or do you not like to label yourself? – I don't typically like to label myself. If forced to, I would say bisexual, since I am attracted to both women and men, in both lives. I don't believe that sexuality can - or should - be as easily categorized as all that, however. Its not a black and white issue, and often shifts with moods and life circumstances.

Name a physical attribute that you find attractive or sexy. – on anyone: Intense, intelligent eyes and a smirking smile.  On women: wide, curvy hips, thick thighs and a nice ass. On men: wide shoulders, muscular wide frame, nice ass.

For me, though, its so much less about the physical. You can be the perfect physical specimen, but if you're a horrible human being, or really dumber than a box of hair, my interest won't go beyond a quick appreciative glance.

Are you promiscuous, a prude or in between? – I sort of take offense to the way this question is written. I wouldn't call myself a prude at all, or anything close to one - but I am in a monogamous (with one mutual exception) relationship. Just because I don't fuck around doesn't make me a prude. that said - I had my wild child days in college, and then for a few years after I got married with the open relationship and all, and certainly when I started SL - jeez, who doesn't take advantage of the sexual candy land that is SL when they first get here? But I learned...in both lives..the value of QUALITY and DEPTH over quantity.

What turns you on? – Confidence mixed with just the right about of coyness; intelligence, wit, humor; a creative mind; someone who is unafraid to be passionate and hedonistic and even primal when the mood calls for it - uninhibited.

Are you Dominant or submissive? – I am more Dominant, although just like sexuality, its a grey area - there are no absolutes. I have my switchy moments as well - dependent upon the partner and the situation.

Are you into sexual roleplay? – Roleplay has its place and time, but I always have been and always will be MUCH more interested in REAL HONEST actions and reactions than something put on as part of a role.

Which sexual position is your favorite? – Hmmmmm....probably a woman riding me...wherever she so chooses. There is something so intensely erotic about seeing a woman lose herself in complete pleasurable abandon and let herself be free in the throws of passion as she sits astride my body....

Do you have any fetishes? – Does oral sex count? I suppose I do have a few peccadillos that some would consider fetishes, all revolving around oral sex (giving)....let's just say nothing is off limits....

Have you or would you do porn, amateur or professional? – Movies? Haven't...wait...well....amateur..ok, yeah. Professional?? You mean someone would PAY me to have sex??!! Where do I sign up??

Do you consider yourself sexy? – It depends on my moon honestly. Some days I consider myself sexy and desirable..others...not so much. SL - most days my avi looks hot, but my personality coming through is anything but, so...idk. I leave that to others to decide I suppose.

What's Your Digits? - Strawberry Singh blog challenge

I decided to start doing some of the Strawberry Singh blog challenges, just for the fun of it. The first one I chose was "What's Your Digits?" - mostly because it was easy and fun! Especially with many people switching to the mesh bodies - myself included - its a good time to do this! Feel free to click the links above to learn more about the challenges! This challenge was to do a pic showcasing your *digits* and write a bit about it. So..here goes. Pic, along with credits - is at the bottom. Enjoy!

Do you currently own a mesh body? If so, do you wear it all the time or just once in a while? If not, skip to the fourth question. – I did break down and buy the TMP body, and yes - I wear it all the time. I actually tried to switch back to classic system body - which, prior to going mesh - was pretty hot - for a costume today. Sass about gagged. So - no more taking off the mesh, LOL!

What is your preferred mesh body available on the market right now?– Since there simply aren't many for men, I will state the TMP. There is one out from the same people who do the Wolfkin stuff, Niramyth, that is in beta right now. For women, as I am dating a mesh snob, I have seen them all, and have to choose the Maitreya Lara Mesh Body 

Have you changed your shape since you started wearing the body? – Yes, I have. Prior to wearing a mesh body, I had a decent shape, which I had to tweak here and there to fit into M-L mesh clothing. With the mesh body A LOT of stuff had to change. My current shape still looks decent, but its not what I had with non-mesh. 

 
How do you feel about mesh bodies in general? – I love the mesh bodies! Not only do they look remarkably smoother, they move better in general. If you are into photography, you will see a MASSIVE difference in the edges and angles - FAR less post-prod editing to be done on a mesh body photo than a system body one! 

 
What is one thing you would request from designers when it comes to mesh bodies? – Universal applier systems, like Omega appliers for instance, for EVERY mesh body would me AMAZING!! Its also so complicated for designers to make appliers for every different body out there, that a lot are just choosing to do either TMP or Omega. From a male perspective, there are VERY VERY VERY few designers who actually make TMP applier clothing, and even fewer with any degree of skill (sorry - had to be said! I won't name names, I promise!)

Steam Puggy Showcase

Those of you who've seen Sass know that she is cute & fun sized. She is also very into some of the Kawaii stuff. I love shopping with her, because she has a tendency to pick out these incredibly innocent looking schoolgirl or babygirl Kawaii dresses. She them pairs them with hooker heels, vampy makeup, and JBF hair, and the juxtaposition about knocks me on my ass its so sexy. So yes, I traveled with her to the Kawaii Project this time around. Game of Thrones? Nah...how about a game of HORSE instead?

With all the hullabaloo about Game of Thrones these days, everyone rushing to sit in front of the boob tube and watch fictitious barbarians kill each other and screw (admittedly - hot - but still), it makes me long for the simpler days. The days when I could throw on a pair of baggy pants and a sweatshirt, walk down the street, and find at least one other guy in the old neighborhood who was up for a quick game...

Wandering around doing the TAG gacha the other day, Sass and I ran across the sim XIN, which is absolutely amazing. That sim also made me think of where I grew up, of simpler times. So I thought it fitting that I take these blog pics there.

Beach Comber

Sometimes there is nothing quite so peaceful and mind-clearing as sitting on a dock by the water, just watching the waves. The sounds of the seagulls, the smell of the sea, the breeze coming off the water - nothing compares to it. The feel of the sand between your toes, the water rolling over your feet, as you walk along the edge of the shoreline is indescribable. Its the feeling of summer. When the weather begins to warm up from winter into spring, I start to seriously long for the warm summer weather. Good news is - in SL - its always summer somewhere!

I went over to The Men's Department earlier this week to see what I already had that I could blog about. I'm trying to use only current stuff. Fashion (Un)Fairs in SL

Ok, so I know that shopping in SL is hit or miss for men. Decent creators of clothing for men tend to be few and far between. This is, I'm sure, partly market driven - there are far too many men on SL who are perfectly content to have one or two outfits - or pairs of pants as it were - and never change. This, frankly, makes me shudder, but whatever. Women are the shoppers in SL, by and large. I suppose I'm an exception. I LOVE to shop. I love to see what new styles creators come up with.

I will admit that men's fashions in SL have gotten MUCH better since the advent of MESH clothing. With that, though, the clothing for men's mesh bodies (currently really only TMP with any degree of applicability, though more are coming!!!) is sadly, woefully, lacking. While most men's pants will fit the TMP body - in a manner of speaking - shirts are VERY difficult to get to fit. The neck muscles and shoulders and overall shape of the body just...doesn't work. I could get appliers - if anyone made any that were halfway decent. Crappy designs, awful tetures, and they still break over the bends and dips of the 3D mesh bodies. Yes, I am bugging my amazingly talented designer girlfriend to make appliers for TMP, and she is getting there. Keep an eye on her blog and Marketplace Shop .Sass. for that!!

I did discover several blogs (Seraphim) and (SL Men) for example, that highlight mens' fashion and related events/fairs in SL. I was able to check them out, and found many new favorite designers. I also discovered a woeful lack of male fashion bloggers in SL. So, I thought I'd try my hand with a few example posts. The next few blogs will be showcasing bits and pieces I bought at the various fairs and events this past month. Any critique and comments are most welcome!

Prodigal kitten returns...

This past week or so has been marked by several things, as referenced in a previous blog. This blog, however, will be about one of those occurrences - the return of one of my best friends - Angela. She left SL for the same reason many of us leave - she got her heart broken and needed to regroup - lick her wounds as it is. Understandably.

Angela...Ang, as she gets called by most everyone - is a kitten. Not so say she is 100% Neko - its just her personality. She is sometimes seen scampering around SL sporting a tail and ears, but its more just part of who she is, furry appendages or no. I described her thusly in my profile: Ang - the little lost kitten came back home to SL after way too long away. Not exactly a stray, not exactly a pampered pet - she falls somewhere in between - moods and personalities ranging from the sweet playful kitten batting a feather around, to the fierce mama lion chasing off the grizzly bear hurting her friends.

In honor of her return - and the avi update Sass & I helped her with - I wanted to do a photoshoot for her. My goal was to capture all those sides of her personality. It was a fun afternoon - Sass assisted me on building sets and setting up shots with the proper composition and whatnot. I'll showcase some of them here, and they are all on my FLICKR as well.

For the Love of Gods...

This blog is a bit overdue, but here it is nonetheless ;)

I ran across these poses from RoLu called the Kamasutra series, and I had to do a photoshoot. Those poses, combined with the mesh bodies that Sass and I have, and the Jay's windlights that Skip highlighted so beautifully, I thought made a wonderfully evocative shoot.

Its always amazing to me how we can read the emotions that we feel into pictures that we take. Be it the poses, the expressions, the angles we choose, or the filters we use - they are expressive. Judge for yourself :)

Reunions, Anniversaries, and things left unsaid...

****VENT AHEAD - MORBID, SELF-INVOLVED PITY PARTY STUFF - FEEL FREE TO SKIP THIS ONE****

So its just past the 3 month anniversary of when Sass and I met. We've officially reached the halfway point of my 6 month benchmark for *is this SL relationship going to last*. By and large, things are amazing between us. We have our moments, when one or both of us are in pain, or not feeling well, or cranky, or whatever, we can be irritable. We have to mind how we interact with one another during those times. We both tend to be a bit...oversensitive...during those times, and prone to taking what the other says or does the wrong way. We talk it out, though, and we get through it. We love each other - really and truly love each other. Even through the rough patches - we help each other over the speed bumps.

Things the last couple of weeks have been strained, due to an odd convergence of matters. First of all, I have an RL health issue that may or may not affect our relationship - the direction and course of it. Its something that I will not get into here, but suffice it to say, it weighs heavily on our minds, and won't be resolved for quite some time yet. Life does like to throw its little curveballs, doesn't it? Not knowing if we have a future - at least in the way we want - is making living in the present both more difficult, and more important. Its not an easy thing to deal with.

The second thing that converged on us is the re-emergence of an old friend of mine, Ang. Look for her in my upcoming blog post as a fashion model for my fledgling fashion blogs, LOL. Anyways, Ang has been gone for well over a year, if not longer. She came back to SL, and our friendship picked up like it never paused. We were close. No, not like that, Sass has no reason to fear Ang in that sense. We're just very good friends, who can share and talk about anything and everything - and we do. I've sort of always fallen into the role of big brother with her - advising about matters of the heart, and of the head at times.

She left SL for a lot of reasons, chief among them being that she got hurt by the end of a long relationship. One that she has been seriously considering diving back into,now that she is back. I've heard her ruminations about the issue for the past several days. They border on obsessions, but that's ok - its how she processes, and I'm happy to listen and assist in whatever way I can - giving direction to her swirling thoughts.

She isnt the topic of this blog, only the source of my current mood. She took my advice and expressed how she feels, how she felt, why she left, how she wants to fix things this time around, what she wants, etc etc, to this person she is thinking of getting back together with. What she said...it was so powerful, and so beautiful, that it made me realize - I've never experienced anything like that. It wasn't jealousy I was experiencing - it was envy.

I guess I'm in a morose mood, and I've spent some time the last couple of weeks thinking about my past, revisiting old memories, rehashing old relationships with my RL roommate and best friend - basically, examining my past to inform my present. Seeing Ang's longing for what she had with her ex - how she described it, how beautiful and wonderful it was when it was good...hearing her talk about how much its burned within her, that longing for him, that desire to be with him again - it made me realize something. To my knowledge, no one has ever felt that way about me. I've never left that much of an impression on anyone, nor have I ever been loved that deeply.

My last SL relationship, with Molly, was....beautiful, but rare. We saw so little of one another, and what time we had was so broken up. In the 13 months we were *together*, I doubt we spent a total of 2 weeks worth of time together. Not a lot of time to delve in deep or make an impression. I tried though, lord knows I tried. I know I did, to an extent. I embodied that white knight that always fucks with my head when I get into relationships. She saw me as a potential savior - as a way out - as a tool she could use to escape her current hell. If it was even hell. I still wonder if she wasn't playing an elaborate game all along. I hope, whatever the situation, that she is happy. She is the only one who ever really ame back, who ever expressed wanting to be with me again after a break up. Not sure it was even that, really, as she used that confession of desire and longing to drive the knife in deeper, lol.

Anyways, to get back to it - I've always been the expendable one. I have an old friend - now someone I've completely written out of my life - who had what I like to call "repeat customers". Everytime he broke up with someone, he kept them around. He had them in his life They always wanted him back. They always came back to him - no matter what he did. It always fascinated me. We dated in the same circle, some of the same people, in fact, some at the same time, even. Don't ask. Anyways - I was the throw away. I was the one who - when I left, or when they left - I was blocked, defriended, undesirable.

Its always been like that - in RL and in SL. I'm the one who swoops in, fulfills that perfect niche, becomes exactly what they need, and then - when things run their course - I'm tossed out with the trash and forgotten about. They move on. They don't look back.

I always look back. I always check up. I always CARE. Even when I don't want anything ever to do with them again - I care. I check. Maybe its sick of me to do so - but I do. Sometimes its just to watch the train wreck from afar, but still - I check. Somehow, I seriously doubt anyone - EVER - looks me up to see what I've been up to in their absence. It makes me wonder what is fundamentally wrong with ME that no one gives a shit.

It also makes me wonder - worry - stress - what have you - about Sass. I was reminded by a very good friend today that Sass is my longest relationship they've ever seen me have - in terms of time spent together. That I seem happy, fulfilled. And I am. She is amazing, and I love being with her. I can't stress that enough. I know she worries about me straying or losing interest in her or whatever - but that couldn't be farther from my mind. She is all I think about. She is all I worry about. Yes, I talk to my friends. Yes, I spend time with them. I've been a little greedy about Ang, because having her around again feels good, and because I like her being around Sass - they both need a good friend, and I think they compliment one another well. Ang is a fur-wrapped ball of sassy fun with claws and teeth that lash out at anyone who bothers her family - and she does consider both Sass and I family. She's positive energy to have around, and I've needed that lately to keep me out of the blackness. Sass probably thinks that there are other reasons I've brought her around so much - but its not that. Its that she keeps me upbeat and smiling and laughing and having fun - WITH Sass - and keeps her there as well - and we both need that positivity right now.

If things go negatively, on the health front, I don't know what will happen. I can't be upset about whatever does. I won't allow myself to be upset if she chooses self preservation - in fact, I encourage her to. I've all but insisted on it in some ways, and totally insisted on it in others. Anyways..my morose point - if things go south...I wonder if she will ever look back? She doesn't seem the type to do much of that regardless, not unless she has to. She forces herself to move on - which is healthy, and a better way to live your life. So in a way, I'd be happier knowing that she didn't look back. Still makes a part of me sad. I don't think I will ever have love like that. Its not in the cards for me. Not that I'm not happy with what I have with Sass - I am. I told her the other day, and it was the truest statement I've ever made, that what we have - even in its *virtual* status - is the most fulfilling relationship I've ever had in my life - in ANY life.

Wow, now that I've thoroughly depressed myself again to the point of crying..I think I need to sign off of here and head to bed, lol. Yay me! Bring on the depressingly morbid dreams, right?

Annnnndddd ACTION!!!!

One of my favorite new activities to engage in with Sass in SL (clothed or..well...you know what, what we do when we press PAUSE is OUR business, damnit! :P) is watching movies. For those of you who may not know, there is a store in SL called LIGHTENING VIDEO . It is basically Blockbuster for SecondLife.

You literally TP over to the store, wander around, they have a bunch of videos on display, and you can rent or buy them. Prices range from about L$150 for a 7 day rental to L$375 for a purchase. So far, we've watched Brokeback Mountain - which made us both cry. I swear, that is one of the most beautiful - and SAD - movies I've ever seen! I'd seen it about 5 times, Sass was a Brokeback virgin - had to get her schooled up! She loved it, btw.

Next one we watched - at Sass's insistence - was Magic Mike - the story of the sensitive male stripper (Channing Tatum), working under a creepy Matthew McConaughey. It was actually a good flick, and Sass's reaction to it was quite...enjoyable... :) Also inspired me to get a few new dance moves for Lar's nights...

We started to watch Dolphin Tale 2 but RL interrupted...and - a little tip - when you hit PAUSE for any length of time...DO NOT hit PLAY to restart the movie - it really DOES restart - from the beginning - and there is no FF. Hit RESUME instead. Lesson learned the hard way, LOL.

At any rate - check it out if you and your SO are looking for something enjoyable and peaceful to do. Its actually an amazingly nice feeling to be able to sit down, snuggle up, and watch a movie together. Especially if you are on voice, and can hear reactions and talk during the quiet parts. Its pretty wonderful, actually :)

Sexy Bath Time and Usifying with tchotchkes

Its been awhile since I've written anything, my brain has honestly been fairly sedate of late - a miracle in and of itself. Nothing weighing on my mind typically equates to nothing to process out through my blog.

SL has been going well. Sass and I have been enjoying one anothers' company, and engaging in a few creative pursuits. We decided our house wasn't quite *usified* enough, so we started adding "tchotchkes" as Sass calls them. Little decor items, pictures, things that make it our space more personal, more a reflection of our individual personalities and our collective relationship. For instance:

I got inspired by the [Brixley] Rustic Frames and decided to add some vintage charm to the bathroom as well..peppered by my own sense of humor, of course:

In case you can't read it - the picture above the toilet is a newspaper-esque image of Moses with two rolls of toilet paper in his hands, red sea parted around him, proclaiming "...and then God looked down upon his creation and exclaimed "Let there be toilet paper" and there was, and the people were happy". 

Then I decided the bathroom needed even more personalization. I found a bunch of vintage photos of women bathing - tasteful, nothing pornographic - but I decided - why would I put those on my wall, when I have an amazingly beautiful partner that I can pose in our tub? So, we did a photoshoot. You can see some of the pics I took on the frames there. More are shared below. You can see Sass's (MUCH better) works from the photoshoot HERE .

This photoshoot inspired us to do another, more...risque...shoot a couple of days later. I will be sharing those as soon as I finish editing. Sass already has hers from that shoot up HERE
